I had this syndrome throughout the first year after going totally blind. My hallucinations tended to be a fiery orange-red field in the center of my vision, or an equally fiery electric teal blue. These colors would appear in my dreams as an overall motif for things I'd be focused on in the dreams, and then when I woke up, the whole center of my vision would be ablaze with either of the colors for several minutes before they would dissipate into my normal grey noisy field. The fiery orange-red color would become fire, flares, torches, sunsets, anything that could be colored and understood through that theme, and the teal blue would be the sky, lights, device screens, hockey rink ice, anything that I'd apply that color to from real life.
It was super weird and was always crushingly depressing since I knew it was all just my brain doing anything it could to get me back to my hyper-visual life from before the loss.
