Does anybody have experience using a screen reader with the electronic health records program(self.Blind)
submitted by Equal-Government-929
I just got hired on to a job where I have to access electric health records, the accommodations team tri to use Jaws with it and it didn’t work.
Does anybody have experience reading electric health records with a different screen reader? I am completely blind so magnifier wouldn’t work.

Some of the other answers are interesting and good and if nothing helps I would talk to the devs about it and try to have them acomodate and see if anything can be done, but this is also a slow tedious process.

If it’s Epic, the unfortunate answer is that there is extremely limited accessibility on the provider end of the system at this point. I’m not as familiar with other systems and products.

It's limited, but there is some accessibility and with some work it's possible to get around most of it.
The biggest issue I've seen with Epic is that it's usually accessed remotely, like via Citrix, so you have to install JAWS on the server too and not just the client.

Which electronic health records system is it? Is it Epic by any chance?
