Anyone know of a D.A.W. that works with nvda? Like F.L. studio? Or does F.L. Studio work with nvda itself(self.Blind)

I’m pretty sure that FL studio is only Mac based. Forgive me if I’m wrong about that. I have it on very good authority however that reaper is a fantastic D a W which works very well with NVDA. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% accessible, and it does not come with built-in virtual instruments if that is what you’re after, but I have been using it for a great number of years and there’s very little I can’t accomplish with it. There’s also a fantastic community of visually impaired reaper supporters as well. Lots of scripts are available as well. I don’t have a URL right now, but if you Google reaper accessibility wiki you’ll find a lot of useful information.

Reaper+Osara+SWS is the way to go, arguably, though it does have a steep learning curve, you'll find yourself looking at tutorials online to find information etc sometimes too. Good luck.

This is the answer. Reaper plus OSARA is basically the only reason I have a job as an audio editor. The learning curve is somewhat steep but it really is fully accessible and genuinly fully featured. There's a bit of a circle jerk around Reaper but it's kind of merited

I'd look into Reaper and Pro Tools.
I'm on Mac so I don't have personal experience with NVDA

Is ProTools still accessible though? I thought it ended up becoming less accessible over the years but I haven’t tried it for a long time

I haven't used it personally but I know a lot of blind producers who do.
There are keyboard maestro scripts people use with Pro Tools to make it more accessible but as far as I know It's fully accessible.

The very best option would be reaper. As somebody else below mentioned, you will need to install some additional plug-ins to get it working with NVDA but I’ve been using that set up since 2017 and I’ve never felt restricted. It’s absolutely fantastic. I’m a PC user for what that’s worth but I believe this set up will also work on a Mac.
Speaking of Mac/iOS, I know GarageBand for iOS is reasonably accessible, though I’m not sure about it’s macOS counterpart. I would guess it is accessible too since Apple tends to place emphasis on that. That could be a good option if you are a Mac or iOS user and don’t need to do anything terribly sophisticated.
