Jigsaw Puzzles-Looking for recommendations (self.Blind)
submitted by letspaintthesky
Hello, blind and vi puzzlers.

I love jigsaws. I stick to 45-500 pieces because, you know, details and tiny pieces are not my friend.

Does anyone have any recommendations for accessible puzzles, or even just cool ones that you like even if they're not?

I have a textured one with horses on it aimed at 6 year olds that I LOVE because it's fuzzy and textures are cool. (and yes, I'm going to hunt down more of them, age on the box be damned).

Not necessarily accessible, but the Magic Puzzle Company has great, enjoyable puzzles. There are shapes unique to the puzzle itself and there is a "magic trick" at the end. If you have some functional vision I would recommend The Mystic Maze since it has the most variety of colors.

Hey! My husband is VI and has done a few puzzles. He's almost totally blind so he sticks to 100 or smaller, with large pieces. We've found that ravensburger 100 pieces are the best since they click in place real well, have no false fits, and are large and sturdy.

No false fits? This is appealing.

Yep, it's very clear when a piece clicks in place

I like that. Thanks for the recommend. :)
