Those with no vision, I have a challenge for you. (self.Blind)

Trying playing a racing game. If blind people can use sound to play fighting games, I'm sure the same can be said for racing games as well.

We have a challenge for you too, one with sightedness. How about, instead of always wishing us to partake of and adapt to your own world, you try exploring ours? You may discover countless wonderful things you never knew!
Or ... something. Honestly, most of our games aren't quite that good. But they do exist.

Regarding driving games, [Blind Drive](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1300600/Blind_Drive] (audio game that requires good distinction between left and right and quick reflexes), $1 (rhythm racing game made accessible) and $1 (older racing audiogame with multiplayer support, idk if it still runs) come to mind. I know there's a couple others as well, so if anyone else can think of them, please do reply.

Forza Horizon 5 is actually decently playable for totally blind gamers. The first gameplay I watched was actually u/SightlessKombat playing it on stream.

I use the colorful racing line options to play sim racing games with the vision I have.

The true challenge isn't so much blind gamers playing racing games, it's developer making them detailed and realistic enough in audio and tactile cues and making the interface accessible.

Just to clarify, the only reason I could get past the sections with the map (cursor-based with no current way to get around it though it is being looked into) is with sighted assistance. Not to say it isn't/wasn't fun, just to temper your expectations.

Not really. The reason why fighting games are playable is because the stage is on a two dimensional plane and the opponent is always infant of you.

There aren't really enough audio cues for not running into things in racing games.

That really is a shame. For the racing games, I mean.

Guys, try asphalt 8 or 9 game. You can't go off the road in that game, and, even if you get in to an accident, the car rights itself in few seconds. The only problem is that you will need sighted assistance to get pass the menu options in that game.

That wouldn’t work.

With fighting games you don’t have to worry if you’re walking off the stage. With racing games you need to follow a track and that’s not easy to do.
