I know a lot of people in accessibility tech hang out on this sub; can you help me make my favorite game more blind/VI friendly? Or help me out in making the devs notice? (self.DiscoElysium)

I can't really speak to getting attention of the developers but the thought about potentially modding it did at least make my ears twitch a bit.

Say if someone like myself who could, probably, in theory at least.. figure out how to mod this game.

Could I be fairly compensated for doing so since it would be an agonising process? If that can be figured out then I would strongly consider taking on the challenge. However, I don't think there's any way to make enough money back from doing this to make it worth my while to shift my attention away from what I'm already doing.

It would no doubt require a ton of input from you and your friend too as this isn't trivial.

For example say if my code could detect all elements of the surroundings it might not be advantageous to the gameplay if it told you everything, as perhaps youre supposed to find it by exploring. I think you get what I mean. It's complicated and nuanced and requires actual dedication and I don't see a way to just tack something simple on and make it usable in this case.

I used to make game mods but my focus is currently web development so whilst this is something I would enjoy I don't see it being viable.

Anyway, figured I would at least put the thoughts out there into the ether and at the same time wish you luck!

Honestly, if I could find a way to put the money together to compensate you for your efforts (or anyone who would be interested), I would love to. But I do understand that that's a proper salary for a non-trivial task, hence my also wanting the devs involved (perhaps they could offer good compensation?).

I appreciate you pointing out potential difficulties and I already had thought about some potential solutions for them!
