Intimacy, sexuality (self.Blind)

I know there's all manner of trite little threads asking what blind/vi people find attractive and such, but that's not what I'm asking.

What I'm asking is how visual impairment/blindness affects the experience itself for you. I never really noticed any kind of change after my VI set in until I tried on a pair of handcuffs and freaked out because I had unconsciously been moving my hands around my partner even during clothed & nonsexual cuddling, kissing etc and felt the sensory deprivation hard. How have you communicated these things to partners? How do you even figure out what you need other than through that unpleasant trial & error?

trial, error, and communication. That's about it really. Sex is a very hands-on experience, literally.

While on your journey of trial, error, and communication, remember not to sweat the errors. Much like many things in life, the more fun you can have with your slip-ups, be they from you or your partner, the better of a time you'll have figgering it out together. Life is already overly serious as it is. Any opportunity to take it all off and be free should be jumped upon with great fervour. (Puns and imagery very much intended)

Live, love, laugh. Best of luck to you.
