Frightening CBS? (self.Blind)

Are they supposed to be frightening? This happened a few minutes ago.
I am sure I was not even sleeping nor falling asleep, but when I was lying face up on my bed, with all lights off, I started to see a lot of geometrical patterns of different shades of black and gray (with sporadic flashes) and they looked as if they were coming to me (like some sort of spectres) and I felt I was absorbing these figures. Then I started to see smoke and I thought that maybe something was on fire in my home. It was really scary as it felt like having a sleep paralysis while fully conscious and awake. Of course the images disappeared after I saw my phone’s screen and started moving my eyes.
But I wanted to know if someone else suffers from frightening visions, not only weird visions but really things that make you sweat because you are in fear.

Anecdotal evidence is that a lot of them are. My eye doctor after a surgery said most people report scarier ones like skulls, Ghosts, corpses, etc.
I only really had them after the operation clinical trial I was in and luckily mine were not. Well they might have been for others but I'm not bothered by snakes lol.
I saw a ton of snakes made out of lightning basically. Was pretty trippy.

Those sound worse indeed. It would drive me insane if I could distinguish skulls, ghosts or corpses. Snakes would also be scary, not going to lie.
I have noticed that my visions happen more frequently when I have been outside the whole day and my eyes get strained.
