I am new here and pretty new to being blind do I cannot speak for the community but will answer for myself.

I enjoy good stories. The ones I enjoy most feature characters I would want to be under similar circumstances. That are similar enough that I can relate to hem but different enough that I would want to be them. The stories I hate most are the ones where those characters are too real. Where the events in the story could easily be describing my life yesterday, today, or tomorrow.
