I am new here and to being blind so this is my opinion alone.

No. I will not help you try to convince your wife to do what you want about her vision. Her eyes, her health, her decision. I will not help you decide for her. The decision is hers alone.

On top of that you should never ask for medical advice someplace like this.

If I gave the impression I wanted to convince my wife of anything that wasn't my intention! Her and I were talking about it and she was happy for me to post on Reddit to see if anyone had any thoughts. Any decision we make would be her final choice. We were just wondering if anyone had any personal experience and figured this subreddit might be a place where others had gone though a similar thing.

I'm a bit taken aback by your response to be honest....
