I found a cool tech tool! (self.Blind)
submitted by BlindIneLives
I discovered this cool tech tool about a month ago! I stumbled on it. I thought I'd share it here to help people out. I'm blind, and I'm a writer. I write articles for businesses. I'm always working with images, and it gets hard after a while, as my eyes get quite tired!

It's called GenAlt. It generates descriptions for pictures that screen readers can read. It's just a chrome extention! So easy!

Chrome can generate alt text automatically, which I think would make this extension unnecessary.

There're places in Chrome where alt text isn't generated, or alt text is completely unheard of, or forgotten about. It also depends on the screen reader, and of it has an alt text generator built in. For most screen readers, it's not likely. This is there to pick up the slack.

Chrome's alt-text generation is totally screen reader independent an works on any unlabelled image, including those accessed from a hard drive or network storage rather than on the web.

Yep, this function was also just added to Android Accessibility Suite OS wide and works the same, can generate text for any image in any app/site/etc.

That sounds like a neat thing.
