Has anyone with intermittent exotropia had their exotropia get better/managed? (self.Blind)
submitted by lethal_universed
A recent vist to a low vision doctor told me I had this condition. For the longest time I knew I had only nastagmus, then I learned I had foveal hypoplasia at age 14. Now this at 17. The regular optometrist was the one to tell me about the nystagmus, and a low vision doctor was the one to tellme about FH, but this new doctor told me about this new condition. Ive read up about intermittent exotropia and I heard it canget worse over time. Ive never really noticed any difference in my vision, my FH is stable but this one scares me. How likely is it to get worse?

Outside of my experience. I just bumped it a bit to try to keep where someone that might know will come across it.

In the meantime my advice is to jot down all the questions you want to ask the doctor next time you see them then take a deep breath and slowly let it back out then have a good night's sleep followed by a nice breakfast in the morning. Then continuing to live your life. You have dealt with everything that's come at you so far, you will deal with this if it becomes a problem as well
