Why do ground changes bother me so much now? (self.Blind)

I know exactly what you're talking about. Since losing my right eye and having reduced vision in the other, I feel like a Jenga tower being supported by one or two blocks. Last October, I was carrying groceries into my house and half stepped off the sidewalk, that's all it took for me to take a hard knee dive into the sidewalk.

I think reduced vision reduces your anticipation to changes in your surroundings causing you to easily lose balance or become surprised.

I think you were using vision to anticipate those. Do you use a cane? You can anticipate those too with that.

You saw them coming with your vision and now do not especially when guided.
