Discord app not working on windows with jaws (self.Blind)

Hi guys, I have a lenovo laptop with Jaws 2019 installed.
I can get discord to open and send one message, but as soon as I leave the app using alt tab, it stops working. Like jaws just doesn’t read anything in the app anymore when I switch back to it?
Does anyone know what could be causing this please?

Not sure, but maybe updating JAWS might fix it?

I have never used discord with jaws. But do you use the actual discord, or discord canary?

Dont know what’s causing it but voice over and NVDA both work great with discord. If I had to guess though, it could be the method? Check if there’s any conflicting settings with the alt tab!

Like, do you hear the popping sounds indicating you’re in an edit field or not? You can exit the editing mode through the + key on Numpad or JAWS and [ (I think)

i dont have a fix, but maybe, just maybe you can load discord in your browser in a tab instead as a stop gap till you get it resolved.
