Dear Reddit,

Do you love to game? Are you interested in a stepping stone to a technology career? Just want to see what kind of new tech is coming around the corner?

A well known, highly respected Big Tech company is seeking video-game lovers identifying as disabled- who are willing and able to give playthrough feedback onsite at our lab in Redmond, Washington.

No experience is needed- this is an entry level role for beginners and all training is provided onsite during the paid onboarding process.

Specifically we are looking for PWD’s, or Persons (identifying) With Disability such as color blindness, amputees, motion sickness, arthritis, chronic pain, cognitive impairments- or even just wrist pain when you are typing/gaming for extended periods of time. No medical qualification or background checks are required.

Pay starts at $17/hour with occasional “swag” perks onsite. All roles are considered part time status and all shifts are 8 hours long from approximately 9-5 (exact time varies by specific team). We are conveniently located one block away from the S520 freeway, with ample parking, modern and safe facilities. We offer and anticipate full Section 503 Reasonable Accommodations.

Unfortunately we can not offer any remote roles- these positions are onsite only due to security needs of the client. You will be asked to sign and adhere to a Non-Disclosure agreement to protect the client's I.P.

**If you are interested please DM us with your name, basic info and contact information- and you will be put in touch with a hiring manager immediately. Right now we are priority onboarding.**

I think you should consider those who are totally blind as well. And should integrate playable screen reader or similar support. Build in that kind of accessibility too.

We are hiring those who identify with any disability, that includes total blind, near blind, low sight, colorblind, anything and everything in between, and under the sun too. We do not ask for doctor's note and take everybody at their word.

We have testers who use various screen reader apps and other assistive technology.

Well that’s good to hear. I would love to help but I am three states away. Good luck finding more people.

I am like 10 to 20 countries away. Lol! Wish if it was in my country though.

Unfortunately I think you may run into some issues with transportation. Some Bay area tech companies have a employee shuttle for people with trouble getting in. Does your company offer anything like that?

You'd get a lot more roles if you had remote work open. Not trying to discourage you, but for the future, note that a lot of people with disabilities find it hard to find reliable transportation. I hope you get the testers you need.

You should consider paying a living wage relevant to the area.
