Stardew Valley? (self.Blind)
submitted by FantasyNightmare74
I downloaded Stardew Access (the beta), Auto Hotkey, and the SMAPI thing. I'm having trouble getting it to work, and I'm wondering if it's because I'm using NVDA? Do I need to do something with auto hotkey other than install it? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

For starters, auto hotkey is not necessary for Stardew Valley.

Where exactly is the process going wrong? I'd hard o troubleshoot without a bit more information. What have you already done, and what is not working?

Ok, so I read an article that said to install Smapi and put it in my Stardew Valley folder. Then I got the stardew access mod and put that in the mods folder. I set my directory in steam so that will recongnize Smapi. When I open stardew valley it just doesn't seem to recognize the mod at all. I will say though that I'm still using the beta of Stardew Access, and I read that there is a newer version.

How did you install Smapi? There's a separate installer file for it. I ask because I know at least one person accidentally copied the Smapi stuff directly into the mods folder, which you aren't supposed to do.

You should probably upgrade to the latest stable version of Stardew Access, yeah…

I opened the windows installer file and followed the instructions

one of the last things to trip me up is that often the screen reader won't focus on Stardew Valley properly and stay focused on the SMAPI window. Speaking of, when SMAPI opens, what verbal feedback do you get?

Its made accessible from months.

It’s paid and it’s on steam.
