Headphone Recommendations? (self.Blind)
submitted by yourmommaisaunicorn
I usually use wireless headphones but have been learning Fusion running into audio delay issues with the screen reader. I talked to my tech instructor and they recommended getting a wired set.

I hope to work from home soon and would like them to have a built in mic if at all possible.

I love my Hyper-x Flight S headset. it is wireless with a 2.4 Ghz dongle. Replaceable mic and earpads. The wired Hyp-x cloud alpha set are nice too with replaceable cords, earpads and mic:

If you need them for work, I'd highly recommend putting comfort high on your priorities list. I find Sennheiser headphones super comfy as well as Beyerdynamics but those can get kind of pricey

Senheiser are good but expensive but yeah, great choices and they make good for audiophile type stuff.

I have a couple sets of Logitech G series that have been great.

It depends on how much you're willing to spend. I use gaming headsets exclusively, because they're literally made to be comfortable for hours and hours, and have reasonable mic quality. My current pair is an Astro something, and I can wear them for literally 16 hours without discomfort.

Interesting. Yesterday I asked a question about wireless headphones that work well with screen readers. I got a couple of suggestions but the consensus seems to be that Bluetooth and screen readers just don’t get along all that well. I often like to pace around the house while I’m on a work call so I haven’t really considered wired, but maybe I should rethink that

I use Bose QC 35 II overeat. You can plug them in or use Bluetooth.

Skull candy earbuds! I’ve had mine survive multiple washes in the washer + rain. They’re around $10-25 irc? Depending on where you are and what store.

They’re good until you find the really good stuff but for really cheap option okay.

How expensive or cheap are you looking for. Logitech had some are they great quality no but they are okay every day use, I think the school I go to uses panasonic again, great brag about it quality, no.

If you want quality look in to stuff like senheiser, maybe shure has something, I think heilsound was making some. But these last one is more high end audio gear.

Mid range stuff but bose are good, beats are pretty good apple definitely makes some wireless ones.

My current set was $100 and is the perfect shade of red. I can see colors pretty well and will pay more for a not black or white version

I am pretty happy with beats really but a lot of them are good. I had logitech for a long time for casual just anybody use great. But I got in to audiophile stuff and got picky. Not always the most picky but went with companies that focus on audio. Beats and apple airpods isn’t the greatest either but yeah.

I hate ear pods. Gets grimy, gets lost.
TechnicalPragmatist 1 points 1y ago
Yeah, beats are better the wired ones are over ear. And comfortable.
