It has several mobile apps. On Android, Tusky and Android are both entirely accessible. On iOS, I believe the best one is Metatext. Avoid the official Mastodon app; contrary to what you may think, it's actually the one missing most of the important features.

The thing with Mastodon is that there is no mastodon.com like there is a twitter.com. It is composed of thousands of instances, all able to communicate with each other. Think of it like email; if you're using Gmail and I Protonmail, I can still email you. Each of these instances has its own moderation team, rules to follow, general community vibe.

It'd be best to look around a little, on places such as JoinMastodon.org and instances.social, to find a place that would fit you. If you're looking for something specific, I can help with recommendations as well. It's not about what you post, it's about the data mining and permissions it requests from your phone - trackers, location data, so on and so forth. Many choose not to use it for that reason who may have never intended to post, but simply browse.

And not that it matters much but TikTok is very handily stealing their market and has way worse privacy violations built in as a feature. Everything is horrible, lol.
