Accessible set-and-forget alarm clock that never stops going off. (self.Blind)

The alarm on my Google pixel goes off until I turn it off. I've come out of a shower to find it still going off 20 minutes later if I hit snooze instead of stop. I am sighted though, so I can't speak to how easy it is to set the alarm for someone with low or no vision. It is pretty set and forget though, and resets for the next day when I hit stop.

Android is pretty good for accessibility overall now. Not quite as polished as iOS in some ways, but getting there slowly but surely.

I wouldn't say it's excessive. If you're not using that phone for anything, might as well give it a good second life. Also, that is surely lest excessive than getting a Raspberry Pi involved, no?

All things considered, not really. The pi was cheap, and I have several extras. I trust a tiny Linux computer with very minimal software more than I trust a complicated smartphone. For people who don't know how to program in a Linux shell, it's definitely a worse option.

random question, but would you be willing to part ways with one of your pis for a decent price? i refuse to pay $100+ for a $30 raspberry pi on amazon or any other site. scalpers are letting them go for absolutely bonkers prices right now and it's just sad :(
