I'm not sure what your question is? As long as you are in public and your dog is used to crowds you should be OK. Only thing that gives me a slight pause is the body cam, I'm not sure if some Pride goers might see it as intrusive. Sometimes people come to Pride to just make trouble and they might think a body cam is a part of that.

I've been to Pride in SF years ago and while I'm not blind and don't use a cane or have a dog I am VI and people were chill and kind and just wanted to enjoy the day. I had lots of fun.

Oh, OK. From your post, it sounded like you'd done parades before. I misunderstood you.

It's likely going to be very crowded and noisy. I looked up the parade route in advance and picked a spot. If there are reviewing stands or intersections I'd hang out around them so you can see any performances or routines that the marchers do. They also likely have services like porta-potties near them. I brought my own water and snacks so I didn't have to go looking for food and water.

I didn't try to cross the parade because there were people marching, cops, bike patrols, and stuff and I didn't want to collide with anyone.

People were friendly and helped me find my way back to public transport to get back.

Have fun!

You wrote a lot of text and no question how are we able to assume, if you don’t articulate clearly don’t assume we can mind read. And you don’t need to be rude.

Add this to the end of the post.

If you just tell us and don’t ask a question we don’t know.

Practice articulating your points.

What specifically do you want help on pertaining this?

I did ask a question. My title.

I wrote the text to give background on my plans.

Advice on navigating a city I've never been in before, advice on navigating crowds in a city with 6x the population as mine, etc.

The title is like a subject line, merely a title.

I would say use the cane carefully and thoroughly if you find people be careful find where there is an opening and go through or around.

Though I am not sure how really different it would be. I imagine since the city is smaller and less traveled that there is less sidewalks. Most major city is well maintained and paved.
