Using Reddit with JAWS (self.Blind)
submitted by NTCarver0
Does anyone have suggestions for efficiently navigating Reddit for JAWS users? I am currently using Reddit on mobile, but would rather use PC as I generally dislike typing long posts or anything that I need to thoroughly proofread on my phone.

Highly suggest using Reddit for blind on desktop, it is pretty easy to navigate and works very well.

Interesting. Thanks. Appreciate the help.

Update: This was the correct answer. This application is excellent. Thank you.

I suggest you use clients there are actually two out there reddit for blind and one called luna?

Thanks. Have tried both. Luna looks interesting, but the spelling checker doesn't seem to be working as expected. I'm guessing this is simply a user error problem. Was hoping the Reddit website was more usable, but it doesn't seem to play nicely with JAWS in a few respects. Most annoyingly, the curser seems to be quite jumpy when navigating through posts by heading, and navigation between levels of comments also seems to be unfriendly. Oh, well.

As far as I know phone apps unfortunately work the best. I am primarily a mac user. But do remember that jaws made it harder and clunkier. Interesting maybe your best choice is the clients though.

Old.reddit.com works pretty well on mac and I'd assume windows. Haven't touched jaws in ages though.
Do you have any other suggestions for the mac side of things though? Other than oldreddit?

Have you tried dystopia on the mac if you have an m1 chip? For intell, no unfortunately not really.
