If natural voices are a priority, the new Narrator voices in SV2 sound quite good. Maybe they will become exposed at some point for other screen readers?
That said, natural voices are generally not what you want to use with a screen reader, as they can become choppy at fast rates. eSpeak, for instance, is anything but natural, but can easily read at 1000 words per minute without serious loss in quality.

What exactly is SV2? Is this something I can purchase and put on NVDA? I hear your point, though I would honestly prefer to slow the speed down a little just to have a more natural sounding voice especially for reading subtitles withL Lion and playing games

> What exactly is SV2? Windows 11 Sun Valley 2 (22H2), to be released to stable later this year. It’s in the insider beta channel.

It's possible to use the kortana voice for nvda by creating a registry file u dont need kortana enabled for it

Yup, These robotic voices are really great when we wanna read fast. But, when I am reading books, I would really love to have some sexy laidy reading out to me in not so fast speeds. :D
Vocalizer has this great English US voice, name is Zoe. Try it out. Lot of blind folkes like Tom as well.

I have the code factory voices. they are quite nice. this is not the sapi one but the nvda one that has both.

Those voices have been around for a while now. I got them on sale during last year's convention dates for $59. worth it to me. but if you want to get the sapi voices, you can do taht instead. I did not, but I might, so that way when there is an nvda update, I can switch to those and still have something I can listen to.
