Is there a way to create a text file with nvda and windows file explorer? (self.Blind)
submitted by vzjiofdanefnlk
I looked up and now I know how to create a folder, change the name, and delete.
but I don't see how to create a text file, does anyone know how? or is it impossible?

Move into the folder you want to make a text file in. Then make sure nothing is selected. If something is selected, press ctrl + space to deselect it. Then press applications or shift + f10. Then choose New and then Text File.

It worked great, thank you!
I also didn't know how to de-select.

You're welcome. You'll get used to it all soon enough.

Sure. You can either save directly from a supported program (like notepad), or open a folder, press shift+f10, then choose new, then text document.

Assuming you have nothing selected in a folder the following series of keyboard shortcuts make a new text document.

Shift -10

Could you use Notepad? That's the main source of txt files that I am aware of.
