When I was three years old, my mother died while pregnant with what would have been my only brother. I never knew my dad. Those were the first two losses of my life. Later, when I was 17 years old, my grandfather passed away and he was the most important person to me after my mother. Years later I had two dogs and both died tragically. From then on, my life was one of constant loss. I lost jobs, I lost money, I lost friends and I finally lost my Health three years ago when I had three toes amputated due to diabetes and finally went blind. However, the only thing I have never lost is faith and hope, those two things keep me strong and wanting to continue living a life as happy as possible.
please do not give up, no matter how difficult things seem, no matter how sad or lonely you feel, remember that there will always be someone willing to listen to you and give you a hand. Have a blessed Friday.!!!

It is so easy to think that you are going through the worst thing possible… And then people like you show up that have it much worse and you want to slap yourself for not being grateful for what you have…. Thank you for reminding us all that life is great no matter your vision, unfortunately I think a lot of people are too weak to find value in their lives

Hello, thank you very much for your comment. Indeed, there will always be someone who is in a more complicated situation. I share my experience so that other people know that everything is possible in this life when we stay strong and with faith. I may have lost my sight, but I have not lost the ability to love, to feel, to listen and to understand everything that happens around me. As they say: while there is life, there is hope.

No problem.

My problem is knowing that my best days are behind me. I lived a fulfilling life before going blind and there's no way I can experience anything that surpasses or even just matches what I had. Some people only learn to live after going blind, but that was not my case. I live in the past now, envying everyone who still has sight, and feel upset about healthy people who waste away their lives. Whenever I'm with other people I can only talk about the life I had over 10 years ago, because there's nothing interesting going on for me now.

Hello, I am very sorry to hear that you feel this way. I lost my sight three years ago and I sincerely try not to get depressed. We are alive and we have the opportunity to continue learning things, I know it seems difficult to find meaning in life when you cannot see but I believe that there are still wonderful things out there waiting for us. When we spend so much time thinking about the past, we cannot enjoy new things. I let go of everything that I could not control and I let go of everything that was no longer in my life and now I focus on enjoying what I can do and what I do have.

I’m sorry about everything. Mind share what caused your blindness?
