How to find work from home jobs? (self.Blind)
submitted by puchuchita
Hi everyone,

I live in an area in the USA with no pubic transportation and I am currently a fully online undergraduate student. I was wondering if anyone here has had success finding an entry-level WFH job where no transportation is necessary.

I used to live, study, and work in a city where the public transportation was wonderful, but my vision has since deteriorated further and I had to move back home. I am feeling frustrated and I can't seem to find a job that I can do without having to buy an expensive Uber every day!

Any tips or advice would be appreciated. I need money!

Your local lighthouse for the blind and or your state can get you in contact with a vocational rehab specialist that will be able to get you back into the job market and has access to those jobs. They can also help you get the proper education or training to get the job that you really want as a blind person. All of this is done free of charge for you

Look for an employment agency, particularly one that has helped the disabled. I had to try finding a few of these before I found the right one, but I found it thanks to a newspaper article. I looked up jobs through Indeed, using search terms and I found jobs both local to my city and internationally. I had a few rough experiences it took me a little over a year of serious searching but I found a job so that's all that matters. I figure now that I have something recent on my CV that I will have an easier time convincing companies I can work without help.

Could you get back to the city and move back there on your own that may be good.

Also in what field or work are you wanting to do some coding and computer work may not need you to go in. I have an internship at one that is all remote it’s a very small company though.
