Is there any way you can do this without a computer?(self.Blind)

https://www.alphr.com/add-local-files-spotify/ I suck at using a computer. I have a BrailleSense 6 and an iPhone. Is there any way I can do this with either of those? I have to rely on my brother to do it for me whenever I find new things that I want to add to my Spotify library, but I wish I could just do it myself so I wouldn't have to rely on somebody else and so I could do it right away whenever I wanted.

No, as the article states, the desktop app is required to upload local files. You cannot do it on the iPhone or the web player.

Oh. Yeah, I was just wondering if there were any other ways of achieving the same thing described in the article without using the methods described in the article, but ok.

No, you would need a computer to do this

I don’t use Spotify, but I’ve heard the apps quite accessible. If anyone else uses Spotify, chime in and see if we can help this person out.

Is it possible for you to use the Spotify app on your IPhone? It's generally pretty accessible nowadays.
Edit: Didn't read the entire article the full way through lol. Could you potentially make a playlist on the mobile Spotify app and play things that way?

Well, the thing I want to do is to add my own MP3 files of songs that aren't on Spotify to my Spotify library so that I can add them to playlists and stuff along with songs that are already on Spotify. And from what I'm seeing I think you need a computer to do that.
MusicLover0351 points1y ago
Oh. So you want to add songs that aren't already on Spotify's database to a playlist? Sorry, I thought you were having trouble adding songs that were already on Spotify to a playlist. I'm pretty sure you do need a computer to add those files.

Yeah...

You could probably do it with Aira
BexTheMixer [OP]1 points1y ago
Well the thing with that is I get really nervous whenever I have to talk to anybody on the phone. I have no idea why, I just do.
athennna2 points1y ago
You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. You can text chat with the agent. If you sign up you get a free week if you want to practice and see if you feel comfortable.
BexTheMixer [OP]1 points1y ago
Oh, I didn't know that. But wouldn't you have to like take pictures of your screen? Cuz I suck at taking pictures.
athennna1 points1y ago
Do you have a computer? The agent would just access your computer remotely to do it.

Is it possible to get some assistive technology training with your windows computer. Some trainer/teacher can work with you slowly and patienly and help you with it. How to use windows with nvda. Or jaws. This is well worth it for a lot of things.
BexTheMixer [OP]1 points1y ago
Well, I guess that could help, but it's more than the intimidation aspect. It's really annoying when something visual comes up and I don't know what to do to get out of it. Or when you power it on and you have to wait like five minutes for the power on sound and stuff. That's just really frustrating. Especially compared to a BrailleSense where you can see the Braille and know that it's powering on, and it doesn't take nearly as long.

Is it an older computer. Like many years older unless it’s so overfilled with ram. That’s interesting it takes a while to load.
Hopefully the visual stuff doesn’t happen. And if there’s not an error or it trying to tell you to not shut down it doesn’t say much. Unless it’s broken and want you to fix. It.
BexTheMixer [OP]1 points1y ago
Yeah, it is. idk exactly how old it is, but I specifically got it because it was one of the only ones that could run Sonar which is a music producing program.
[deleted]2 points1y ago
I see that may be why? Older units are slower and clunckier and seem much less efficient.
bradley22-1 points1y ago
Maybe you could ask your brother how he does it, and then try and do that with VoiceOver?
BexTheMixer [OP]1 points1y ago
Well, I'm not sure if the things he does would be there in the mobile version. For example, you have to adjust some settings I believe, but I'm not sure if those settings are there in Mobile.
