I'm so proud of you for showering! Doing stuff while depressed is incredibly hard, and when you're grieving your sight and reckoning with future blindness I know everything can feel very overwhelming.
I'm glad you got to feel good again, no matter how long it lasted for
You're doing great

It is the small things that matter! Well done
I remember a bout of 4 days in bed with heartbreak, getting up, showering and walking 100m to the shop was a huge effort and a huge deal as an accomplishment
There is a lovely radio advert at the moment here about the minor moments and life is full of minor moments, the small things.

Welcome to r/blind where you will find friendly and respectful people who either directly understand your situation or at least see it from close up. Rants are welcomed as people here understand the need to vent frustrations or the desire to scream from despair. It wouldn't surprise if there is someone with the same or a similar condition who frequents this sub.
Your English is perfect. If you hadn't mentioned it I would have no reason to believe you doubted yourself.
I am told (I'm a friend / family of a blind person) that when you lose your sight you will go through a period of mourning for what you are losing. Understanding this can help you deal with it and not blame yourself for feeling bad.
Also, well done you for showing up here and telling your story. This must have been a challenge itself.
