Can anyone please tell me if the Braille below is accurate? Trying to find the word "beautiful". Thank you!

Uncontracted braille, yes.
pressurecookedgay1 points1y ago
What gets contacted? Just 'ea'?
retrolental_morose6 points1y ago
The ea and the ful on the end. beautiful in contracted braille is ⠃⠂⠥⠞⠊⠰⠇
QuentinJamesP892 points1y ago
Yep.

Yes, it's correct.
If I may ask, why you asking? Are you planning to propose someone in braille or something?

I'm making something artistic for my love.

Do let us know how it goes. I am damn curious. Sighted people print braille very strangely sometimes. Hope you using proper tools, otherwise the other one might not understand the dots.

Hi! Sorry, just saw this notification.
My lady friend loves all things space related.
I created a moon in the center of the artwork. I took a beautiful image of her, centered it on the surface of the moon and turned the transparency down so instead of the "Man in the Moon" it was her face. Then, I took the word beautiful in Braille and pasted it all throughout the sky in different orientations (different angles?) So it looked like stars and constellations. I used the following version of "beautiful" in Braille:
⠃⠑⠁⠥⠞⠊⠋⠥⠇
I was very pleased with how it turned out and she absolutely loved it. Thank you all again for your help! 🙂

Ironically, NVDA won’t read this. Voiceover for iOS seems to though
CloudyBeep2 points1y ago
JAWS also reads this.
VoiceOver reads lots of character sets that other screen readers don't.
sukiletxe2 points1y ago
depending on the synthesizer you use. Espeak NG reads it.
yoyo27182 points1y ago
Yah, voiceover read it which is super cool…now I want to know how this was typed?
retrolental_morose3 points1y ago
I can type braille like this by ... • using braille screen input on my iPhone • using the braille keyboard addon for NVDA,or an actual braille display / keyboard, with the input set to unicode braille. • or using some homebrew software that runs in Chrome / firefox if I've not got access to a screen reader.

Cool, thanks!

Perfect.
This is what we call "Grade 1 Braille," or uncontracted Braille.
You must be making something special for someone special! :-D Sweet!
elvaqueroloco [OP]2 points1y ago
☺️☺️☺️ yes, I am.
blackberrybunny1 points1y ago
Oooooh, sweet!! I'm dying to learn what it is. Any chance you can tell? Or maybe even post a photo for those of us who have some sight? I know your special someone is going to LOVE it, whatever it is!
