Audio Ducking it disabled on my synthesizer window but every single time without fail that I reboot Windows, audio ducking is clearly on. Why is this happening to me? THis is incredibly annoying, and I would love any g uidance at all.

Another issue I'm having is that every tiem I boot Windows, it turns Narrator back on. There is this ltitle ease of access section o n the login screen that always seems to have narrator turned on on t here and I can't seem to figure out how to permenantly turn that garage off, what is going on htere?

Thank yous o much for any help you guys can provide!

As a rule, Narator ducks the audio of your computer (sometimes even if you turn narator off it keeps the volume turned down!) so fixing your latter issue may fix your former. I'm not sure if you're sighted or blind, but if sighted this link provides two ways to disable Narator at start up. It should be relatively easy to follow if you're using a screen reader, but if you need me to rewrite it from a reader perspective let me know. $1

It's also worth checking sound settings, as with audio conferencing platforms, Skype and the like, it will also audio duck if not disabled.

Any time I use Narrator it turns on ducking. If I hold down insert+shift and tap d 3 times when using NVDA after I've finished with narrator the ducking goes away. NVDA was set not to duck, but narrator set windows to duck, so cycling through the settings with NVDA reasserts no ducking. Sometimes rebooting NVDA is good just to release any ducking that got stuck while narrator was on. Not sure how this might work for JFW users.
