Reddit redesign is a total nightmare :( :( :( (self.Blind)

I am having to hunt for everything, dark mode is completely different, and there's so much inforemation organised so densely. I was just getting into a comfort zone and finding support and resources for my two very different health concerns, this redesign has short-circuited my brain in a very real sense. I seem to remember this happened once before, years ago when I was on Reddit and still fully sighted, and they redid the site which caused me to stop coming here altogether. I reckon I will have to adapt, but for gosh sake, it would be nice to not be set back on my heels like this. :(.

Use a client. They have those everywhere, computer has a few for the blind luna, reddit for blind, iphone has a few android has a few. Iphone is either dystopia for reddit, bacon reader, apollo, and I think android it’s called red reader? Maybe there are others?

Official App on Android is actually the better one, you can force override it into dark mode on OS level if needed.

I highly recommend switching to a Reddit client. Dystopia for iOS and macOS, Reddit for Blind if on Windows, or RedReader if on Android. All of these clients have been designed with the blind in mind.

thanks for the specific name of the client, I've been hitting walls to this point. Getting Dystopia going is, um, convoluted but I'm glad it's there as an option. This has gone wayyy past my complexity threshold and become genuinely distressing. :( Sounds like I might have an easier time of it on my iPad where I use full VoiceOver; currently using a hybrid of V..O. and mousing on the Mac, which apparently I'm the only person on the planet who does so. Thanks for letting me vent, I'm sure I'll get the hang of this message. board's foibles sooner or later.

You can always use the $1 if you prefer, and set it as the default in your account preferences.

I think there are a few options for third party Reddit clients available out there but I'm not sure which ones people on here are using. I just started using Luna for Reddit on Windows and it seems to be pretty well thought out but there are a few things about it that just drive me crazy

HELPFUL, thankya. :) The way I currently use VoiceOver on my desktop is not copacetic with what's going on here now. I've been part of message boards for years, this is the only one that switches everything up at random. I appreciate your advice to go into a client with my phaser set to stun; optimistic, but cautious!
