Been married for 37+ years. Not hard as long as you know your place in life is to be the best you can for your SO.

Being blind is no hinderance as long as she/he has the homespace and workspace she/he can fully function within.

This takes time and effort on YOUR part to make sure and help that this happens.

Keeping doors closed and not shape shifting rooms and stuff helps too.

Also, being her/his 'Seeing Eye Dog' is the best thing in life, at least for me it is.

No regrets ever.

I actually got a t-shirt that says "seeing eye person" on it. He thinks it's hilarious! The truth is, like in all relationships each partner has different strengths and weaknesses. You will rely on each other for different things. As long as you each recognise that in the other, you will do well.

We doing well for 37+ years but the next few will be hard as Mrs is now diagnosed with Alzheimer's. But, she will always by my most favourite person so this is one continuing journey we are committed to and for.

I guess it's more about having good conversations with your SO. Like who's gonna do what and stuff. I'm not married btw, I just don't think it would be that big of a deal to make it work.

It's a matter of talking to your partner about these stuff. It's not healthy for any couple when one person does everything. It's not easy to learn to cook and other tasks but adult life is doing hard stuff and your partner should listen to you on this.
