After research and gentle correction from a couple users, the newer binaries discussed are actually updated versions of IBM viavoice. They're available at ftp.software.ibm.com in a folder called "asi". Note that you need an ftp client to download them, although the ftp server doesn't need a username or password even though it doesn't answer to http requests. When you run the installer it dumps files into program files (x86) in a folder called viavoice tts. These new libraries support a higher sample rate (even though it sounds terrible), don't support the community developed eloquence dictionaries, have a random bug with the right paren symbol, don't strip out line return characters during say all (meaning you sometimes get wierdness if a line feed is in the middle of a word like sometimes happens with Kindle books), but do support a couple more languages. I switched back to the older dll. Either way, this can't be piracy because the installers are available for free download from an FTP server, the installer doesn't have a license agreement of any kind, and they don't require any keys or authentication or anything.

Mod warning: this is not an appropriate place to ask for pirated software. This thread has been locked.
