Trying to figure this whole Reddit thing out (self.Blind)

Hi all, I'm kinda new to this whole reddit thing. I've been looking through posts just fine, but I'm not sure if I'm replying to the right threads that I want to reply to. Also, I don't know how to change my username on here. Any suggestions? Just to be clear, I am using reddit on my iPhone.

Dystopia or bacon reader is good and you can certainly have both. It’s not one or the other.

So first, you can't change your username. However, if you truly are unsatisfied with it, Reddit does allow you to have multiple accounts. You can even use the same E-mail address for them.
Second, if you're using the main Reddit app, it's horrible for accessibility. Dystopia is king of the Reddit apps for VoiceOver users, but if you're not comfortable with using a beta app, you could try Bacon Reader or Apollo. Apollo is my personal favorite, after Dystopia.

So, my username will forever be the default uzscar whatever the last few numbers are? How sad...

I actually made a new account last week for that exact reason. My old username had my actual name in it, and in the age where it's good to stay as private as you can online? That just wasn't going to work. It's too bad they won't let you change them, though.
