Experiences with Framework Laptops (self.Blind)
submitted by NTCarver0
Does anyone here own a Framework laptop? If so, what have been your experiences? Have you noticed any problems with audio or Bluetooth? Is there anything else which I should know about

A great brand that it offers very good access to court components and very easy to get replacement parts for. Keep in mind that both HP and dell have available technical service guides to help you replace the hard drive RAM network cards keyboards and the trackpad on their products for free. Buying a framework isn’t a bad idea but more so you’re doing it because you’re trying to help support what they believe in.

Good to hear. I own a Dell machine already, but there are $1 along with what appears to be throttling when the unit is unplugged which are both contributing to my desire to replace the thing with something that is more "open" and which doesn't ship with bloatware or awful audio drivers. With that in mind, Framework seemed to be the best option.

Thank you for pointing this out, I thought I was losing my mind trying to figure out where all my ram was being used up in such a short amount of time on a brand new laptop

I had no idea either. It's maddening, and Dell still have not done anything to fix the issue even though customers and screen reader developers have been notifying them of it for over two years.
