Yeah……. This and a lot of other things is why I am really hesitant to join the nfb and even the acb. And there is a lot of jealousy and drama and everything in between. I have better things to do instead of fight, thanks a lot! Sometimes it seems like that. I will say my piece and if you want to fight about it you can fight with yourself and that’s how I roll. And the nfb drama can just yeah, go away. I won’t help them.

This is a pretty solid article. Makes me disappointed, as I'm joining the NFB, and really like my local chapter. Here's hoping things turn around, or are turning around.

I am going to join a local acb chapter here but the thing is about this me and the nfb just haven't seen eye to eye as it were. I just don't like the way the national organization conducts itself. local chapters and indeviduals are great but its the top that is the problem. but that is my opinion.

Yeah, I read those reports and listened to the speeches as well and it all felt like frantic backpedaling and minimizing to me. I know that there are allot of people who don't want to see everything valuable that the NFB has and could do burned to the ground because of this, but come on people, you don't need to sacrifice the victims and allow predators to continue having access to more targets at the same time. If the organization is truly as strong as they all say it is, then dropping a few people permanently won't kill the entire thing.

Of course sexual molestation is ahugely serious issue, please don't take my flagrant humour as a commentary on the actions themselves.
But it's either "are you coming to our conference" or "we're totally screwing up" with almost any US-based organisation for the blind I've ever heard about
