I’m looking for a digital Magnifier that is larger than 8in so to fit a whole book page under the device. I’ve heard of Humanware explore 12 Ruby 10 Optelec Compact 10 Cloverbook pro
Does anyone have a favorite? I need contrast more than magnification, and reading line to keep my place.

Ruby 10 is great- it has decent OCR and a beautiful screen. It's my favorite out of all the rubies. The Optelec Traveler is great too- it's on a roller stand that is super smooth to pull across the page. The only problem is that it doesn't balance well on an open book with a thick spine and needs to be held in place.
The cloverbook is nice because it's on a stand and doesn't require the user to hold it in place. I'd recommend calling a couple local low vision clinics near you to see if they have any devices to trial. They usually know about any funds available as well.

I have been partial to the Ruby 10 out of all the 10 inch displays. It has physical button controls, so you are not losing any screen space on virtual buttons. I am not familiar with the CloverBook. I will have to correct that. Comperable price for the Lite model.

I have no hands on experience with this product. However it is light, portable, has multiple contrast settings
