Big thanks to the mods for permission to post this!
Hello!
I’m a PhD candidate in Information Systems working on my dissertation at the University of Pittsburgh. I’m looking for volunteers to participate in a research study titled “Internet decision making by users with visual impairments” (IDMUVI).
I'm interviewing people who are blind or have low vision to examine how they make decisions about search results and websites. The interview involves questions regarding their thought processes and preferences when browsing online, as well as their opinions and experiences using websites. It usually takes about an hour.
Everyone who participates will receive a $15 Amazon gift card as a token of appreciation for their time.
So, if you're at least 18 years old, use assistive technology to go online (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS, etc.), and are interested, please contact me here on Reddit at u/katzvistudy, by phone at 412-339-0169, or email at
$1.
I've interviewed 10 people so far, including several from this subreddit, and hope to speak with another 20. I'd love to hear from you!
