Dishwasher recommendations (self.Blind)
submitted by Laurax-1994
Hi all,
My dishwasher bit the dust a few weeks ago, and everything I have looked at seems frustratingly unusable, I.E. touch screens.
I am hoping someone here might have a recommendation for a dishwasher that can be fully controlled by an app or one that has physical buttons.
Thanks!

Bosch makes some excellent ones that are just push button.

Try looking at general electric, ge. They make some appliances that have apps, a washer at least, so maybe. I think whirlpool also.

I’ve got some Frigidaire barebones thing that's a few years old, not sure the model but is literally just a analog switch for heat or not to dry, and an actual mechanical dial to run it, thing is stupid simple.

I can also recommend Bosch. I don't know my exact model, but I have a 300 series that has physical buttons. My parents have a 100 series that also has buttons. I'm not sure if all their models have buttons, but there's a start. I went to an appliance outlet store where there were probably 40 dishwashers, and like 5 had actual buttons, so that narrowed down my choices. The one we got is really great though.

This was a huge pain point for me. We ended up with a Samsung that has the flat buttons, but all I had to do is put bump dots next to the outside buttons to find power and start. We leave the settings on normal and everything comes out nice and clean. It sings when I touch the buttons and when it is finished and pops open a crack. It’s super quiet but vibrates enough that I can tell it is washing by touching the front.

Do you bump the buttons or just muscle memory it? My washing machine is like this and I’m pretty good about only touching where I mean to, but I do mess up the settings sometimes lol

So I have to touch the actual button with my real finger for it to work, but because of the location, I put the bump dots to the outside and so I slide my finger from the outside edge of the door to the dot and then tap the button. I know I did it right when it sings to me.
