I am both visually impaired and obsessed with Shakespeare. For this reason, I have always been fascinated with how the theme of blindness is treated in the play King Lear. I don't think all of it was intentional, but a lot can be pulled from the play to explore the idea of accessibility in theatre.

For that reason, I am directing a volunteer-based audio production of King Lear, to be streamed on YouTube. I would love for the actor playing Lear to be blind or visually impaired.

Is anyone here, or does anyone know, a middle-aged or elderly (above 50) male visually impaired or blind actor who might be interested?

Or is anyone here interested in this production (for a different role)?
