Alexa ECHO Dot 3rd Generation Virtual Assistant (self.Blind)
submitted by Marmabino
Yesterday my package arrived, I bought this Amazon’s technology for my blind brother, he’s 10.
She (Alexa) help him so much. She’s associated to my phone, so he can ask her to call, play music, play audio games like quiz…
She’s so helpful, his really happy to have some independence to do virtual thinks alone!
She’s different to Siri, I have an iPhone and when he used it for anything he thinks she is more for someone who can see because she don’t read the material on the websites, etc…
Alexa can help with the audio, because it’s her job! Find áudios and translate everything from any website.

Can he learn assistive technology so he can operate computers on his own. I like google and alexa a lot. I use siri when I have to. She can be okay. I like her on the phones a bit more. I have an iphone and use apple products and love it I don’t actually use my homepod that much but I own one.

I don’t have an Alexa anymore, I sold it, but I do actually really like it! I only sold it to get a PS5 and TV, and then decided I wanted an ice machine instead :-)
