What is a good/thoughtful small gift for a blind man aged around 70?(self.Blind)
submitted by Cultish_Behaviour
I know a man who is blind who lives in a care home, he has very little to do apart from listening to his radio. He has never come to terms with his blindness and often rejects new ideas like when someone offered to help him learn braile. I'm wondering if anyone could suggest a small gift which would be thoughtful/helpful for this man? Is there maybe any item which is really useful or appreciated by people who are blind? Thanks for any ideas.

Oo maybe a walkman? So he can listen to CD’s but it gets around the “new” thing.

A cool colored cane and encourage him to use it?

Since blind people can’t drive offering to provide transportation for 1/2 day to anywhere he wants/ needs to go. This would be a great gift because it is hard to ask for help.

Do you know what he likes? Maybe some audio books or music?
