As far as I understood, the big portion of the message is about how Camus, at least in this book and this narrative, swindles the reader from ''l'' (as in ''I did something'', ''I was there'', etc...) to ''we'' and, finally, to ''you''.
So, when looking from the perspective of pointing fingers, the Narrator (the Advocate, if I remember correctly) first points the finger at himself, but then ends up pointing the finger at the reader (if you wish).
Personally, I still struggle to find some coherent meaning of the Camus's message. Maybe because there are more then one messages.
