Abby Mullen series anyone? (self.books)
submitted 9h ago by pappumaster
I just finished reading the Abby Mullen series by Mike Omer (they're on KU) and I loved it especially the first and last. These books are crime/mystery/thrillers. He quickly became a staple author for me. Anyone else read this series? If so, what are your thoughts?

I love the character Abby Mullen herself and the whole story surrounding Moses Wilcox was just gripping and infuriating. I love that this story was told in installments over a couple books, it really built up the characters and the importance of the situation. Also love how the author ties us loose ends and provides a lot of backstory for the why and "why now".

I agree with you 100%! I loved the Abby Mullen series and all of Mike Omer’s work.
Zoe Bentley is actually from his other trilogy, which is the Zoe trilogy and it was just as good if not better imo.
I too liked the build up of the stories and the endings just had you wanting more. A good balance of the crime, mystery/horror thrilling adventure with some light-hearted human normal life in between.

So excited to see another fan!

Yesss I totally agree the balance of many elements and the human elements made it all feel very real while also dealing with an intense story! The way that the first books had like 2 plots (current and background) kept it really interesting.

And oh yeah I had actually read A Killers Mind from Zoe Bentley right after Abby Mullen book 2 (when her character was mentioned at the end) but ended up finishing this series first. The idea of joining two series was exciting (reminds me of Karin slaughters Grant county series and Will Trent series merging). I’m thankful this collab in the third book didn’t have much spoilers for Zoe Bentley since I’m now into finishing that series, just started book 2 today :)
