Hello!
I'm seventeen now, and my goal is to read more philosophy and more classics. I enjoy reading them a lot, but the problem is I've never finished any book this month. Another problem is that I don't seem to remember anything I've read at all. Last month I've read so much Russian and Japanese literature, but I just couldn't remember a thing from them, and it takes me so long to finish a book.
I tried reading less complex books, even tried reading mangas and short stories, but I drop them and find myself scrolling on TikTok. Sometimes I find myself just staring at an empty wall, not realizing that I'm actually spacing out. It doesn't matter how much a book intrigues me or how short it is, as I still get distracted.
Any tips for a young reader?
