Can Career Choices Determine Dementia Risks? (self.neuroscience)

Neuroscience researchers have discovered occupational choices could lead to early onset dementia.

Isn't education level correlated with how likely you are to get dementia? Rather, doesn't education delay early symptoms of dementia which show up in later years often allowing well educated people to function at a high capacity until they die? I'm assuming careers that require more education result in a lower percentage of workers with dementia.
