"Positive self-directed neuroplasticity". Since first watching this lecture, and many like it. I cannot stop thinking about the implications. (youtu.be)

I attended a series of lectures/meditations with this guy at a place called Kripalu in Massachusetts. Very, very interesting stuff.

I would sell a kidney for the chance to be in one of his meditations.
How would you describe the experience, how was it directed?

I'm not an expert, but it was some of the only meditation I have attempted or done in my life that actually felt beneficial to me. Its very simple direction, he tells you to basically think about your loved ones, about times where you've felt appreciated/loved, and etc. and you can feel the relaxation spreading from your forehead on down. I got into some very good states as a first-timer!

EDIT: It did get a little more complex than this, it has just been a long time since I went to the meditations.

I like to think I understand what he is on about.
But I am sure he has taken it far beyond anything I have ever considered myself.

I feel this belongs here to help explain.

But I am sure many people interested in Neuroscience would recognize the benefits of meditation.
