Anybody surprised that there's so much anterior insula? Mid insula I would expect, but what the hell is that anterior segment doing. Shows up *every time*.

Apkarian came to my university to speak. Most of the pain people there did not like him. Rocked the boat a lot. His stuff seems cool, but I'm skeptical of brain imaging stuff.

Either jealousy (if he turns out to be right) or indignant since he says they are wrong (if he turns out to be wrong).
