The study suggests a way to predict glucose levels using data acquired via non invasive EEG device.

Just a note - the data in this study were collected using intracranial stereo EEG. So, very invasive.

For severe epilepsy cases, patients will have up to 30 long electrodes implanted in their brain for about a week to better characterize the seizures and determine best treatment.

During that week they often are turned into Guinea pigs (with consent)

Edit: a word

Do you think it works w non invasive methods?
AndreasVesalius 2 points 1m ago
Don't know - it looked like their most significant result was measuring from the hypothalamus which is very deep in the brain.

Maybe the same information could be extracted from scalp-EEG, but that experiment would be easy enough (comparatively) that it's probably been done.
