So are we on the Mad Max timeline or the Blade Runner timeline?
Rishiku 32 points 19h ago
Inserts “Why not both?” Meme.
CptMalReynolds 53 points 19h ago
Mad max. We're not gonna have enough food for a blade runner future
joe579003 17 points 17h ago
Oh sweet, one end of my chain I use to lock my bike tied itself into a knot so it's an impromptu flail, so I'm ready.

WARRIORS, COME OUT TO PLAYYYYYYYY

> WARRIORS, COME OUT TO PLAYYYYYYYY

That's from _The Warriors_, not Mad Max nor Blade Runner

Death Stranding timeline.
Spudcommando 6 points 18h ago
I'll take it, at least DS has semi functioning outposts of civilization. I mean sure everything in between those outposts is hell but hey better than Mad Max.
EvaUnit_03 10 points 15h ago
And you think any of us are gonna be privileged to be apart of that? ***WE*** will be the shit in between outposts that are hell.
croholdr 2 points 4h ago
Nah you'll either of died in a normal way such as extreme heat, getting your house washed away by floods or sucked out to sea by a tornado before things get realllly weird.

Anyone left after that will be coddled like children because they will be using our bodily fluids for things they won't be mentioning.

By they I mean the ultra rich whom have uploaded their brains and rule by text message and tiktok dance.
croholdr 5 points 17h ago
There's an entire battle scene (one of maybe three) where you fight a teleporting enemy on a beach with many beached whales with black sand.
DeftTrack81 8 points 13h ago
Star trek. We end up saving the whales.
buttersstochfan-5956 10 points 12h ago
I want to believe you.
scummy_shower_stall 6 points 12h ago
Umm, cetaceans are extinct in the Star Trek world, save for two humpbacks. And those descendents won't last long due to inbreeding.
hooch 1 points 6m ago
That's not true. Some ships had Cetacean Ops departments well past the 2370s. Unless those cetaceans are from a different planet or something.
Spudcommando 3 points 11h ago
They had to use some time travel hijinks to bring back the whales.
Art-Zuron 2 points 13h ago
Cyberpunk maybe
EET_Learner 1 points 2h ago
probably Mad Max as we won't make it(society) long enough to have the technology in Blade Runner.
OGZackov 14 points 11h ago
ocean temps rising. they know they fucked.
makashiII_93 6 points 8h ago
If we break the ocean, we are all fucking dead.
ithorc 24 points 18h ago
Sorry, are you whales from Scotland?
Techrealms43 12 points 17h ago
No wonder the Orca's are pissed.
The_Possessor 6 points 15h ago
Are the yachts fighting back?

Chief Pilot Whale "Ramming speed, charge!"
Dahnlen 1 points 11h ago
Maybe some of them will develop legs out of the urge to be on land
irrelevanttointerest 1 points 1h ago
Forced to imagine a single whale with beefy power lifter arms and legs slowly emerging from the ocean, pissed.
thedylandmg 1 points 3h ago
This is so tragic and the Hitchhiker’s Guide kinda called it. “So long and thanks for all the fish.”
