Calling all Coffee Masters! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by mtrate
Hello I've been working on finishing the coffee master program for the past month or two, I was wondering if there are any other coffee masters on here that wouldn't mind sharing what they did for their "project" to impact coffee sales. I have a couple ideas, I'm not sure if they would directly impact coffee sales, I wanted to here some other ideas before I start working on setting everything up for my project! Any advice or knowledge is always welcome! Thanks!

i combined my impact coffee sales project and my improve beverage quality project into one. many baristas in my store were not sequencing hot bar beverages correctly (extra hot temperatures, pulling espresso shots in doubles between both bars, using both bars for steaming and pulling shots, when shots are done pulling and milk is done steaming immediately start steaming and pulling shots for the next drink) so i retrained all my baristas and shift supervisors on how to properly sequence drinks for better quality in taste and at a quicker pace. the end result was to craft better tasting quality beverages so that customers would return to our store for their drinks (and it worked! more people return to our store because they say we make their drinks better and correctly).

I am working on my project currently. Supposed to help promote nitro to increase sales. Just active sampling and offering customers a sample when they ask about it is what I did. Other coffee masters I know have done projects like sampling verismo pods, making sure each partner completes their coffee passport, iced clover or regular clover sales. The biggest thing to impact sales is being knowledgeable and sampling.

Honestly I would have to disagree with the other comment. If this is what you love then go for it! I learned so much about coffee from this. I chose Caffe Verona for me coffee tasting. My presentation was just about the different roast of coffees the region my coffee came from fun facts about the coffee and the processing method. I then wrote the steps to host my tasting good luck!!
